Starting GLOW at Your Church

It's easy to participate in the GLOW program at the local church level.  Here are the basic steps to bring GLOW to your church:

1. Talk to Your Pastor

It's important to have the pastor in support of the GLOW program.  You'll want to share stories of things that people who have been participating in GLOW have been experiencing.  Then you share the specifics of getting the program going (program structure, cost of literature to distribute, kicking off the program, etc.)

2. Get Church Board Approval

After you've talked with the pastor, you want to have the church board approve the program.  Before you present to the board, contact us and we will help you with the process of getting the board's approval.

3. Find a GLOW Leader

This is the most essential piece to the continued success of the GLOW program.  This should be someone who has a level of influence among the church family, and is excited about sharing our message of hope with the world.  See the information about all the responsibilities of the GLOW leader here.

4. Pick a Launch Date

This will be the Sabbath you officially start the GLOW program.  Check out our resources and materials that help you start the program successfully.  If you're an SECC church, we help plan and kick off the weekend for you!

5. Keep Stocked on Literature

You'll need to make sure that you keep supplied with literature to distribute.  You can order literature on this website, or by contacting us.  A good resource for making sure you've got all the titles available is by using our GLOW literatrue checklist, available in our resources section of this website.  The checklist is kept up-to-date whenever there are changes in our literature lineup.

6. Distribute the Literature!

Congratulations, fellow literature evangelists.
